The battle continues!

Good Morning Everyone!
Still sick I am. I thank everyone for the get well wishes. It really hasn't been as bad as last year and I really believe it's because I have less time to feel sorry for myself this year. The cough is echoing and I am told that I should see a doctor soon, but I really feel that if it was Bronchitis or Pneumonia, that I would feel as good as I have lately. I am not sure that there is any real truth in this as my son was running laps in our kitchen with Bronchitis, but yk, it's right until proven wrong.
So today the girls have struck again. This time at 1 am. They crawled into bed with us, crying like they had a bad dream. They never said they did, but they just had a fearful cry. So like the overtired mom that I am, I let them in. Dan didn't flinch to my knowledge. So male. So after hours of pushing, shoving, kicking, and whining about all the space I wouldn't let them have, I was done. Good thing it was 5:30 and time for a shower. The morning did get bettter, just listen to this.

I get the truck started so that it can warm up because it is -36 degrees out, no matter where you are from, that is just too cold! I proceed to get the girls dressed and go outside to leave. The steering fluid in 20 minutes had not warmed up enough to steer at normal driving speeds. That's how I know it's cold.

As I am driving down the road I get a call (13 miles from home) that I can feel before I look, is Dan telling me I have a backpack. Sure enough, as I look in the back seat there is the backpack of my son who stayed home from school yesterday due to Bronchitis and 47% lung function. So I turn around and go to Stacie's. Say bye to the kids, again. Then I proceed to work again.

I am at work, noticing that most of my stuff is done and I better slow down so I have something to do throughout the day (hence my teme to blog today) and see a call from Stacie's number. Now recently I have lost fear of this number showing up because the kids have been fine. However, it's her calling to tell me that my son forgot his backpack at Stacie's. What did I drive 26 miles for again? Sheesh.

So now I am here, sipping tea and contemplating a Baby Taylor Guitar, any thoughts on accoustic guitars for 7 year olds????

Sick Sunday

Good Afternoon...
It's Sunday, my first day to sleep in since the cruise and I just can't believe that I couldn't. You would think that the two preschoolers causing all the noise would have been the culprit, but sadly no. I just couldn't sleep. I think it's called an internal alarm clock. Damn routine causing new problems. It's okay, it is probably what keeps my world moving forward.

I have brought home my cruise cold which I did last year. It's not as bad as last year, at least I don't feel like passing out everytime I stand up or walk the stairs, but none the less still bothersome. I know I should go to Urgent Care, but I just can't see going there with all the other sickies and risking something else I might have to battle. I will call tomorrow morning and make an appoitment and see what they say. My money is on URI/Bronchitis.

So this morning, as I mentioned earlier was filled with giggles, snickers, and down right laughter from my two littlest. Elli and Cam. They ran around in their room (directly above ours) and you could hear the imagination running wild. "My baby is skye and she needs to eat real food so she can have real poops, will you go get her some real food, Cam?" followed by "No, you do it, Elli" (smart girl!). As time passed I could hear the worldwind move closer and closer to our room until finally they were at our bedside. "Scooch over Mom" "scooch over Dad!" and the more we tried to fake sleep the louder their request became. Until finally I grabbed Elli and tickled her senseless. It was at that moment I noticed Camryn running out of the room giggling thinking Daddy would come for her next. (He was soundly snoring through the noise) I tell ya, if it's not one, it's another. I know that several people think that anything over two is way too much work, but what we have come to notice is that the first two were work. Much more work. It's the struggle of learing who you are, who they are, and who you need to be together to make things work. But the second two have reminded us why we wanted to have kids in the first place. The fun. The giggles. The pure enjoyment of being a parent and being able to recognize that special part of your life that not everyone has. It still amazes me how much they have taught us to appreciate what we have been given.

Well off to work I go.

Introduction

Hello Everyone!

Since my life is so crazy and there are so many places to post it, I wanted to have a place where people can go when they are thinking "What is that crazy Marcia up to now?"

As most of you know, I am an accountant for Vital Images and I have been married to Dan for almost 10 years now. We have 4 children, Mikayla (8), Davin (6), Elli (5) and Camryn (3). All of our children have special needs in one way shape or form. This brings on daily challenges that we face head on as we feel they deserve the best!

Stay tuned as we go on another wild ride!
